Photoroom says the limit is there to manage server load, and that it applies across every feature and tool in a Space.1
What counts as an export
- A download.1
- A save to your device, such as saving a design to your phone’s photo gallery.1
- Sharing a design or image as an image file.1
- Publishing image updates to an outside service such as Shopify.1
- A batch counts as one export for each image. Downloading a batch of 10 images uses 10 exports.1
When the count resets
- On a yearly plan it resets every month, on the day of the month your billing period began.1
- On a monthly plan it resets every month, on your billing date.1
- On a weekly plan it resets on the renewal date each week.1
- On a free account it resets every month, counted from the day and time the account was created.1
When you reach the limit, Photoroom shows a message in the app. You can upgrade the plan or wait for the reset.1
Can you sell with the free plan?
Photoroom’s help center says no. Free accounts are limited to personal, non-commercial use, and it quotes its terms and conditions saying so.2
If all you need is a white background
Photoroom is a full photo editor with its own app. This tool does one job: it takes the background off a product photo, puts the product on white, and gives you 1024 × 1024 square or 1080 × 1440 in 3:4, as a JPG under 500 KB.
It has no export count. The work happens on your own device, so another photo costs us nothing and there is nothing to meter. You can fix up to 30 photos at a time, as many times as you like, and use them in your listings.
